Updated on 23/3/20
As a small business we are fully committed to our clients and we are closely monitoring the current advice on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We will be reviewing our policy on a regular basis. Our current policy updated this week and released on 23/3/20 is as follows;
As a responsible business, following the recent UK Government advice advising against all but essential travel and the recent announcement by the Scottish Government regarding protecting Scotland’s rural communities, at this time Flamingo Yacht Charters will no longer be accepting visitors during the period 23/3/20 - 30/6/20. We will constantly review this situation and will update our policies on a regular basis.
For customers whose charter dates fall between 23/3/20 and 30/6/20 the following special terms therefore apply;
Any customers with bookings falling within these dates will be asked to reschedule their booking to a suitable later date in 2020 or 2021.
As a small business, in these difficult times, it would assist us greatly if customers would also consider paying balance payments as per original booking terms (8 weeks prior to original 2020 charter dates). We are doing our utmost to adapt to the current COVID-19 situation and would be most appreciative if our loyal customers would consider assisting us in this way.
Customers are reminded that all deposit payments are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel rather than reschedule, we regret that your deposit will be forfeited. You should check whether your travel insurance company can help you to recoup this cost.
For customers whose charter dates fall between 1/7/20 and 31/10/20, the following terms apply;
We are not currently rescheduling bookings for this period. This will be reviewed on a regular basis.
The full charter balance payment will be due 4 weeks prior to travel (not 8 weeks prior to travel as out current standard terms and conditions state).
For any new bookings for charters falling in the period 1/7/20 to 31/10/20
The charter deposit fee will be reduced from 25% to 20%.
On condition that the full charter balance payment is made 4 weeks prior to arrival, customers who are subsequently unable to travel to Largs to take up their charter due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak will be offered alternative charter dates in 2020 or 2021 subject to availability.
Flamingo Yacht Charters Ltd. advises anyone planning on chartering a yacht with us or who has already booked to charter a yacht with us to ensure that they have purchased appropriate travel insurance. We also advise that you check your travel insurance policy’s terms and conditions regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and ensure that you are adequately covered.
Customers are reminded to regularly check government travel advisories.
In the UK, the following information has been released by the UK Government in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19): UK Government Advice on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
We hope to welcome you to Scotland soon.
