Updated on 2/6/20
As a responsible small business, we are fully committed to our clients and we are closely monitoring the current advice on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We will continue to review our policy on a regular basis.
In Scotland, on 28 May, the First Minister confirmed that there had been sufficient progress in suppressing the virus to enable us to move from the Lockdown to Phase 1 of recovery.
We are following both the UK Government guidelines and the Scottish Government guidelines. We are also conscious of our duty to support the Scottish Government in their efforts to protect Scotland’s rural communities.
Our current policy released on 2/6/20 is as follows;
At this time Flamingo Yacht Charters will no longer be accepting any visitors or charterers prior to 30/6/20. We will constantly review this situation and will update our policies on a regular basis.
For customers whose charter dates fall before 30/6/20 the following special terms therefore apply;
Any customers with bookings falling within these dates will be asked to reschedule their booking to a suitable later date in 2020 or 2021.
As a small business, in these difficult times, it would assist us greatly if customers would also consider paying balance payments as per original booking terms (8 weeks prior to original 2020 charter dates). We are doing our utmost to adapt to the current COVID-19 situation and would be most appreciative if our loyal customers would consider assisting us in this way.
Customers are reminded that all deposit payments are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel rather than reschedule, we regret that your deposit will be forfeited. You should check whether your travel insurance company can help you to recoup this cost.
For any customers arriving from Great Britain, The Republic of Ireland, The Channel Islands or The Isle of Man whose charter dates fall between 1/7/20 and 31/7/20, the following terms apply;
We are hopeful that charters will be permitted in this period, we are therefore recommending that clients keep their reservations in place. We will contact you at least 7 days prior to your charter to notify you of whether it will go ahead or whether rescheduling will be necessary. If rescheduling is necessary due to Government restrictions in place at this time, we will offer suitable dates in 2020 or 2021 subject to availability.
We understand that some customers may not wish to wait and will wish to move their bookings that fall within this period immediately. We are now offering to do so.
Customers are reminded that all deposit payments are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel rather than reschedule, we regret that your deposit will be forfeited. You should check whether your travel insurance company can help you to recoup this cost. There are no fees to reschedule.
