A fast and stable boat sleeping up to 10 crew, Kea is a great choice for a yacht hire holiday in Scotland with a group of friends.
Sail away on Kea, a beautiful Jeanneau 44-foot yacht. Get away from it all, forget your worries and throw caution to the wind as you cruise the stunning waters of the West Coast of Scotland. Kea is a strong and fast passage maker; the perfect comfortable and stable cruising yacht for your journey.
Below decks, Kea is bright and airy with a superb quality of finish in fine teak and abundant storage. The contemporary interior features a spacious saloon with large table and sofa area which creates a great gathering space for the full crew. Newly upholstered in 2017, the cabins have a modern, comfortable feel. Opening hatches, ports and long saloon windows allow for plenty of light and ventilation. Webasto warm air central heating is also provided in all cabins to keep you cosy when required.
Sleeping up to 10 people, accommodation is divided into 4 roomy double cabins plus one double conversion in the main saloon. Both double forecabins can convert into two singles (bunk style) providing a more private sleeping arrangement for crew or fun bunks for kids. Storage is plentiful making Kea ideal for families and large groups. The galley is fully equipped for cooking on your cruise with large fridge and separate freezer, twin sinks and three burner cooker, grill and oven. The two toilets and showers have a hot and cold pressurised water system. The port aft shower provides the facility to hang wet waterproofs after an exhilarating day’s sailing without bringing the outdoors into the cabins.
The 44i’s large cockpit features a spacious dining area with large folding table and storage. Twin helm steering keeps the cockpit open, with easy access to the aft transom while moored. All the navigation equipment you need is at hand with depth, speed and GPS colour chart plotter which can be viewed from the helm. Hydraulic self-steering also makes for light work during long passages. The winches are located near the helms, for easy sail handling by a reduced crew. A large sail area offers great performance, the sail wardrobe is made up of a large classic mainsail and roller genoa with stack pack and lazy jacks for easy stowage.
An electric windlass makes anchoring easy. A tender with the 2.3HP outboard engine and oars is also provided for your use making it easy to get ashore whether you choose to anchor in a quiet bay or moor up at a pontoon and simply step off.
