Voyager is easy to handle and offers great performance both up and down wind, making her really fun to sail no matter where you are headed. She also boasts good manoeuvrability in the confines of smaller anchorages and marinas thanks to her Yanmar saildrive engine.
Below decks she benefits from a modern design with a light wood interior and lots of ports and hatches which allow light and fresh air to circulate the cabins. Sleeping up to 8, the accommodation on Voyager consists of two double aft cabins and one double V-shaped cabin at the bow, all with ample storage facilities, 13-amp AC and DC sockets and hot air central heating. The main saloon has a double berth conversion and one small single berth.Entertainment is provided through a stereo sound system with docking station. The well set-out galley is fully equipped for cooking on your voyage with fridge and ice box, two burner cooker and grill. The toilet and shower area is ample and makes for a practical storage area for any wet gear after a great days sailing.
On deck, all sail controls lead back to the cockpit with the double ended main sheet also accessible from the helm, allowing all adjustments to be carried out from the safety of the cockpit and shelter of the adjustable sprayhood. The cockpit has twin wheel steering, plenty of seating and a good-sized cockpit table for eating al-fresco. All the navigation equipment you could need is provided with a centrally mounted Garmin 751 chart plotter at the helm. Two multi-function displays, one at each wheel provide wind, speed and depth information. When taking a break from sailing, an electric windlass simplifies anchoring allowing you to enjoy the freedom of remote locations without too much effort. The fold down bathing platform allows easy access from the pontoon or tender. A tender with 2.3 HP outboard engine is provided which makes commuting ashore a breeze, or for those who wish to work for their supper oars are also provided. Voyager even has an outdoor shower for washing the salt off after a swim if you are brave enough!
Overall, Voyager is a comfortable, speedy yacht with enviable sailing performance. She is great for cruising around the Clyde and further afield.
